 Lukas Weber aka WEBSTER is a saxophonist, singer and rapper born 1990 in Düsseldorf and living in Cologne.In 2010, while studying medicine, he founded the jazz quintet "Horst Hansen Trio" and the crossover band "Mondo Mashup". Both bands led him to numerous concert stages, such as XJAZZ Berlin, Leverkusener Jazztage, Gretchen Berlin, Kassel Zeltkultur, Unterfahrt Munich, Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, and many more. In 2016, WEBSTER graduated from medical school and began studying jazz saxophone at the Maastricht Conservatory the same year. In 2017, he transferred to the Cologne University of Music and Dance, where he graduates in 2023. WEBSTER worked closely as a saxophonist with Flo Mega, Moop Mama, Ninja Kidsoul and Rapturous and is a permanent member of the Silvan Strauss Ensemble (including performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival or Melt Festival). Since 2020 he has been working with producer Matthias Gamm (Akua Naru, Salomea, Jupiter Jones, among others) and released his debut album "Grounded" on the label "Mutterkomplex" in October 2022.With roots in Black, Creole, and Greek-German culture, he and his work are artistically and culturally impacted by a variety of influences. His sound merges elements of Hip Hop, Jazz, R&B, and Reggae in a way that is unheard of in the German music scene, effortlessly connecting genres and cultures alike. WEBSTER expresses an urgent social change and courageous thrive for unity. With his eponymous live band, WEBSTER played concerts at Yuca Cologne, Badehaus Berlin, among others, accompanied the "Über das Grau" tour of "Flo Mega" as support in 2022 and released a feature with the cult brass band "Moop Mama".
